Slovakian mountains are far vaster and wilder than our Carpathian Mountains. There are kilometres of spruce woods, and there are far less hostels and roads than in our country. Only particular regions have been developed for the tourist purposes while the rest has been left intact. The Tatra Mountains which are the highest range of the Carpathian Mountains and of Slovakia definitely belong to the former.
